Alberta is changing, with rapid urban growth and rising expectations for instantaneous information, government efficiency and multi-sector collaboration. New technologies and ideas can support the innovation required as municipalities seek to foster clean, efficient, and prosperous 21st century communities.
The Alberta Smart City Symposium, building off a tremendously successful launch in 2014 and multiple other events in 2015, seeks to respond to this need by bringing together different industries, academic institutions and areas of government.
The Symposium will focus on the gap between ideas and implementation, with an emphasis on the important topics of data and service innovation, connectivity, Smart infrastructure management, sensors, and much more. The Symposium will feature presentations from industry leaders, invigorating panel discussions, best practice and solution reviews, and an exhibition area to feature Smart technologies and group networking.
Organized by the Alberta Smart City Alliance, a cross-sector collaboration between leading public, private and academic organizations, the Symposium offers tremendous value to organizations of any size. The 2016 Alberta Smart City Symposium is a unique event providing a platform to build knowledge and relationships across Alberta’s public and private sectors.
